Sister Stamps: Release #26 "Ai"

I am honored once again and excited to share with you a new Sister Stamps release, what makes this even more special is that I am part of the Design Team - I am very humbled that I get to be part of such an awesome team and I can play with these stamps every month!!!

This is the last release for this year, make sure to watch out for the cuteness that will ensue in 2015, you will not be dissappointed!  Release #26 will be available 11/1/14!!!  Also, make sure you check out  and subscribe to the new Sister Stamps channel on YouTube:

Today, I will share my project for "Ai"  with her beautiful Taiko drum.  I chose to make a celebrate card and embossed the sentiment in vellum using the Mega Mixed Messages Stamp Set from Papertrey Ink.  I have been dying to use the Marvelous Squares spellbinders dies so I used them alternating between green glitter paper and white cardstock.  For the background I used Spring Moss cardstock from Papertrey Ink and mounted it on a Recollections corrugated card base.  My new favorite crafty item is the Wink of Stella pen in clear, it is a must have when embellishing images, I highlighted Ai's headband, outfit and drum.  Here are some pics, I wanted to try out different colors for this release and I just adore the green!

Sister Stamps Release #24 "Leilani"

WELCOME to the the Sister Stamps Release #24, Day #3

My last project and I saved the best for last.  I just wanna thank Jenny and the rest of the Sister Stamps team for letting me take part in this great release.  It was really fun working with these images and stretching my imagination.  (LOL not so good for my MESSY craftroom, but creativity is messy AND beautiful at the same time!)

Little "Leilani", is my FAVORITE image of this release!!! The pigtails, her sweet face, and awwwww her little shave ice fell down, poor thing!!!

Please check out my YouTube video here, I also do a quick tutorial on my new way of coloring black hair!!!  Coloring black hair is so intimidating so I wanted to show how i get the "shiny" effect, it is super easy once you see how easily it can come together.

Here are some close up pictures of my project. I love digging into my supplies and unearthing items that I loved at one time but just didn't get the chance to use.  Here we dig into the archives and use some Heidi Swapp resist paper and colored it using two color shines, I just love this color combo: Mint Green and Georgia peach.  Its vibrant, summery and tropical at the same time.  I also like the effect of the color shine, I wanted to create a texture that would mimic the coloring of shave ice!

Sister Stamps Release #24 "Ekahi"

Yay! Day 2 of the Sister Stamps Release #24.

Today, I am sharing a simple mini book type project using "Ekahi".  I'm not sure why, but the "boy" images intimidate me!!! I am so used to doing girl projects that I decided to stretch myself and make a boy themed mini.  I think this would be a great little mini to throw a couple pictures of the many adventures we will all encounter during the summer - which is my favorite season!

I just love the way this came out, check out the full mini album here on my YouTube channel:

Here are a couple of close up pictures of some of the pages where I feature "Ekahi".  He was so much fun to color I used him twice!!!!  As a side note I also love using corrugated cardboard to add some dimension to my projects, I think its the perfect accent for more masculine projects as well as tropical themed projects, you can even paint it white and make some pretty sweet shabby chic projects.  It is a great budget friendly way to add something a little different!

Sister Stamps Release #24 "Anuhea"

WELCOME to the the Sister Stamps Release #24.
I am honored, excited and over the moon to have the opportunity to Guest Design for this months release!!!

How cute are these stamps!  You NEED these in your LIFE!!!

For my first project I decided to create a shaker card in the shape of a shave ice!!!  You can see the process here on my YouTube video:

I've been obsessed with shaker cards because they are so versatile and there are endless possibilities with what you can put inside: glitters, diamond dust, confetti, and with shave ice there are countless color themes!

Here is the card that I made, can you tell I'm ready for SUMMER?  and ready for some SHAVE ICE!!!
For this card I used the uber adorable "Anuhea".  She is too cute for words, especially the cute little flower on her hair.

IAR "Tis the Season" Blog Hop

WELCOME! to the I Am Roses “Tis the Season” Blog Hop. We have so much holiday inspiration coming to you from our Designers & Guest Hoppers. You have just seen the fabulous project from Patricia!  Thanks Patricia!!!  I am delighted to take part in this years blog hop as a Guest Hopper!

I had the best time creating this "Happy Holidays" card using 2 different sizes Poinsettias.  These flowers go perfect with glitter paper, I used silver glitter paper, but I think gold glitter paper will look just as pretty.  I also used some pearls to embellish the image of the card and red stickles to embellish image.  I love the way this came out!!  The flowers add holiday spirit to the card as well as a bright pop of color.  This  card will also look pretty using one color of flowers or just using 2 colors, I had to use all three because they are just so pretty, the centers also add the right pop of dimension.

Here they are on the I Am Roses website, along with some other Holiday Themed Flowers:
