Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 5

The Clearly Besotted release drops today, February 5th, 8pm (GMT) UK time on the Clearly Besotted website and Simon Says Stamp.   Today I am featuring the ‘Clearly Contained’ stamp set again; remember, it is a collection of empty containers in various shapes and sizes.  You can stamp these beautiful images on their own, or you can use images from the Clearly Contained Cuts, Clearly Contained Contents, or Clearly Contained Cuties sets.  These three sets are separate stamp sets on their own.  Today I am pairing Clearly Contained with Clearly Contained Cuts. I just LOVED working with the Clearly Contained Cuts, lots of florals and foliage perfect to pair with Clearly Contained, or to use standalone to use as scene fillers. This was the first card I made and I knew I wanted a little sunshine and spring in this card.  I colored the images in bright spring colors and used pan pastels to create a light background in yellow and blue.  Due to poor space plannin...

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 4

Yay, we made it to Day 4 of Clearly Besotted Countdown Teasers. Remember release day is tomorrow. The Clearly Besotted release drops February 5th, 8pm (GMT) UK time on the Clearly Besotted website and Simon Says Stamp. Today I am pairing Clearly Contained with Clearly Contained Contents. I envisioned a woodsy, earthy, nature theme!  I colored 5 images and 5 containers using copic markers, keeping my color scheme to grey greens, yellows and light grey blues.  I love how these images fit perfectly inside the containers.  I also selected a sentiment from prior release ‘Says It All Again’....

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 3

Hello Everyone, Welcome to Day 3 of Clearly Besotted Countdown Teasers!  Today I am sharing an Easter themed card using the Ring Around Spring stamp set. I just adore this stamp set; it comes with a gorgeous spring wreath, adorable bugs and cute critters. So many possibilities with this stamp set as you can use an element all on its own or pair it together for your own unique combination. I always like to use as many stamps on a card as possible!  I colored the images using Copic Markers in a spring theme, light greens, pinks, light blues and yellow.  I placed the critters inside the wreath and adhered the bugs on the wreath as well.  I stamped the Easter Blessings sentiment at the bottom of the card and framed out the card front using a frame die from my stash.  I love how light and fresh spring colors are. The Clearly Besotted release drops February 5th, 8pm (GMT) UK time on the Clearly Besotted website and Simon Says Stamp.   I hope you enjoyed my c...

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 2

Welcome back to Countdown Teasers for Clearly Besotted, today I am sharing a special stamp set ‘Clearly Contained’; it is a collection of empty containers in various shapes and sizes.  You can stamp these beautiful images on their own, or you can use images from the Clearly Contained Cuts, Clearly Contained Contents, or Clearly Contained Cuties sets.  These three sets are separate stamp sets on their own.  Today I am pairing Clearly Contained with Clearly Contained Cuties. I used a frame die from my stash that would allow me to make 4 separate mini scenes.  I stamped and colored images from both stamp sets using the Ohuhu Skin Tone Markers.  I also used a foliage image from Clearly Contained Cuts to fill one of the vases.  I used Spun Sugar and Abandoned Coral Distress oxide inks to create a light fog in the bottom of my mini scenes.  I also used different sentiments from the stamp sets so each square would have a sentiment of some sort.  It was s...

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 1

Greetings Everyone! I am very honored and excited to share the Clearly Besotted February Release with all of you.  Each day for Countdown Teasers, I will be sharing a part of the release.  I was very inspired by spring and the hope and renewal that come with the season. The Clearly Besotted release drops February 5th, 8pm (GMT) UK time on the Clearly Besotted website and Simon Says Stamp.   Today, I am sharing one of my favorite sets, ‘Wonderful Wishes’.  I imagined a whimsical dandelion world with baby critters frolicking about.  I used copic markers to color the images.  I colored the main dandelion stamp on the top and bottom of the card.  I thought of them as borders, I showed a friend and she asked me why dandelions were growing from the sky, LOL!  I then selected 3 cute images making sure I chose one flying in the air and one standing on the ground.  I cut out these images and adhered them to my stamped background.  To add a l...

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 5 - Release Day!

Hi Everyone, Today is the Clearly Besotted April Release.  April New Products Coming on 1st April at 8pm (BST) UK Time.  What's on your list? I loved working with these stamps so much!  I really enjoyed coloring up these cuties.  I used the sentiment form An Open Book and the images are from Bedtime Story.  I also think the images would be perfect for Halloween cards. I used the Sunny Day Stencil as a soft background.  It is inked using Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink, which is one of my all time favorite Distress Oxides. I always like coloring ALL of the images in a new stamp set and piling them up on a card the best way I can.  I think of it as a challenge and I always like getting my monies worth, so I try to use every single stamp :)  I just paired the images as best I could and placed them around the book.  I used the sentiment "It's never too late to live happily ever after"  because I liked the uplifting message. For ...

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 4

Hi Everyone, I hope everyone has been enjoying the Clearly Besotted Countdown Teasers so far. Today, I am sharing 'All Booked Up' I love coloring these stamps that have all the images put together for you.  No masking needed!  As always the Clearly Besotted release will be available on April 1st, on the Clearly Besotted online store or Simon Says Stamp. I created a background using the Splat It Stencil  in blue.  I first ink blended all the splatters with a heavier hand.  After all the paint splatters were created I lightly ink blended the rest of the background without adding additional ink to the brush.  This way the splatter is darker than the background. This stamp set reminded me so much of a show I used to watch as a kid and is near and dear to my heart, Reading Rainbow.  I colored 2 of the stamps and colored the bookshelf in rainbow of course.  I also colored the frog images because I really wanted to color the pencil image. I...

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 3

Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is doing well.  Today, I am sharing a card using ‘Peckish Plushies’ part of the Clearly Besotted April Release, available April 1st on the Clearly Besotted online store and Simon Says Stamp. CONFESSION:  I had to google what peckish meant!  So according to Google I am a foodie and the day I made this card we picked up a pizza.  I am so grateful for all the people working out there providing us food.  THANK YOU!   The stamp set comes with a variety of adorable images and I sure will be making future cards with them! Here I took the slice of pizza and made a whole pizza by stamping out the pizza slice six times. I arranged the images in a circle formation and once I was happy with the placement I used Press N Seal to keep the images together.  I used double sided foam adhesive and attached it to the images while it was on the Press N Seal.  I love how the Press N Seal keeps the images in place whi...

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 2

Hello Again, Day 2 of the fabulous Clearly Besotted Countdown Teasers for the April Release, this has got to be one of my favorite sets, Parachuting Plushies.  These bunnies are too cute and just also perfect for Spring and Easter cards.  The stamp set comes with two versions of the parachute and would be awesome to color in different color combinations. I was feeling monochromatic today and used a rose pink color for my card and neutral colored bunnies. Copic Markers used: Brown - E40, E41 Rose Pink - R81, R83, R85 Blush - R20 I used the Cloudy Day Stencil for my background using Distress Oxide Ink in Victorian Velvet for the clouds. Finally, for a little encouragement for us all today, I used the sentiment 'BE BRAVE' and added  smaller sentiment 'You can do it'. Parachuting Plushies will be available on April 1st on the Clearly Besotted online store and Simon Says Stamp. I hope you all enjoyed this card today, honestly the card made itself, these ...

Clearly Besotted: Countdown Teaser, Day 1

Hi Everyone! Rina here, guesting for one of my favorite companies, Clearly Besotted .  I sure ADORE their plushy stamps and all of their cute images, and SCENES.  I absolutely had a blast making this fun shaker card.  I know we are all dreaming of spring, but I do love making some fun winter cards. These sea babies are the cutest, I feel like I love the manatee the most (which, I thought was a walrus but I digress, LOL). This stamp set is called "Sea You Plushies" and will be available on April 1st on the Clearly Besotted online store and Simon Says Stamp. I love that there are 2 of each animal.  Of course I like using all the stamps.  Which is your favorite? Its super easy to make a fun shaker frame by taking a basic rectangle die smaller than your card base and making a frame.  I like to make sure the double sided foam tape I am using fits easily onto my frame.  I filled my shaker with some leftover white foam balls from the holidays....

Pretty Pink Posh - Product Release Blog Hop - Day 2

Love this jam packed release filled with adorable critters, options for mothers and fathers day cards, graduations...a fabulous A2 sized Lattice die and great NEW stencils! I used the following new products on my card today: https://prettypinkposh.com/collections/whats-new/products/elephant-friends-stamp-set https://prettypinkposh.com/collections/whats-new/products/mothers-day-stamp-set https://prettypinkposh.com/collections/whats-new/products/wide-stripes-stencil I wanted to create a different look using the Wide Stripes stencil by placing the stripes at the diagonal.  I created a pink themed stripe look with Distress Oxide ink in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry.  I cut down my striped panel with the Scallop Borders Dies to make room for my Happy Mother's Day sentiment from the Mothers Day Stamp Set. I hope you like my card and give these cool stencils a try.  It makes a great pattern paper look that you can customize perfectly with your...

Hello Sweetums - Oceans of Encouragement

Rina here with an ocean themed card using the HelloSweetums “Oceans of Encouragement” stamp set.  I am having holiday crafting withdrawals, but I am also excited to start using non holiday color palettes!  I created a background using Distress Oxide inks in Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass.   I added more texture to the background by splattering white paint.   I then used copic markers to color in my images. I had planned to tuck the ocean critters into waves on my background, but I had a hard time covering up these little cuties.   Instead, I adhered them directly to the card making sure that the images faced different ways.   I stamped out the sentiment on a strip of white paper and cut a fishtail on the end. I finished off the card using the Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust to add shimmer to the images.   I also added sequins for added shine. Hope you try out this card, I absolutely adore the shark image,...

Mama Elephant's #celebrating6years Anniversary Event

Happy Anniversary Mama Elephant!! This release is super SPECTACULAR and I was so happy to work with the Cool Penguins stamp set!  The set comes with the most adorable penguins getting ready to wrap some holiday gifts.  I used the Basic Rectangles die set to create a window opening as these penguin friends are going to wrap their gifts together.  I also really adore the sentiment that comes with the stamp set. I wanted to keep the coloring super simple on this card and used a few light colored Copic markers.  My favorite Copics are the ones that end in 0000 and 000 because I can achieve a light almost watercolor look.   Here are the colors I used: B00, RV02, RV23, YR00, YR000 To finish off the card I wanted to add the star banner from the  Sentiments from a Yeti  stamp set, its one of my all time favorite stamps.  The set also comes with a banner that is oh so cute.  I love stars on a background and used t...
