Sister Stamps: Release #26 "Mitsuyo"

I am back with the second stamp of this release and today I am sharing "Mitsuyo".  You can stamp the images separately using Mitsuyo or the crane alone, I chose to stamp both and I just love the way this card came out.  I wanted to use vibrant colors to match the red on the crane's head so I busted out with my Papertrey Ink Cover Plate die in the Quatrefoil design and used a light and dark orange cardstock.  I also layered the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 3 die on top.  I used the Papertrey Ink Mega Mixed Messages stamp set to stamp out "Hi There"  I just think the sentiment is so perfect for this card!  Here's some pictures: Watch my YouTube video here: http://youtu.be/BvrNMzV4q-w This is the last release for this year, make sure to watch out for the cuteness that will ensue in 2015, you will not be dissappointed!  Release #26 will be available 11/1/14!!!  Also, make sure you check out  and subscribe to the new Sister S...

Sister Stamps Release #24 "Leilani"

WELCOME to the the Sister Stamps Release #24, Day #3 My last project and I saved the best for last.  I just wanna thank Jenny and the rest of the Sister Stamps team for letting me take part in this great release.  It was really fun working with these images and stretching my imagination.  (LOL not so good for my MESSY craftroom, but creativity is messy AND beautiful at the same time!) Awwwwww! Little "Leilani", is my FAVORITE image of this release!!! The pigtails, her sweet face, and awwwww her little shave ice fell down, poor thing!!! Please check out my YouTube video here, I also do a quick tutorial on my new way of coloring black hair!!!  Coloring black hair is so intimidating so I wanted to show how i get the "shiny" effect, it is super easy once you see how easily it can come together. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoDRiTE0Mcg Here are some close up pictures of my project. I love digging into my supplies and unearthing items that...

Sister Stamps Release #24 "Ekahi"

Yay! Day 2 of the Sister Stamps Release #24. Today, I am sharing a simple mini book type project using "Ekahi".  I'm not sure why, but the "boy" images intimidate me!!! I am so used to doing girl projects that I decided to stretch myself and make a boy themed mini.  I think this would be a great little mini to throw a couple pictures of the many adventures we will all encounter during the summer - which is my favorite season! I just love the way this came out, check out the full mini album here on my YouTube channel: Here are a couple of close up pictures of some of the pages where I feature "Ekahi".  He was so much fun to color I used him twice!!!!  As a side note I also love using corrugated cardboard to add some dimension to my projects, I think its the perfect accent for more masculine projects as well as tropical themed projects, you can even paint it white and make some pretty sweet shabby chic projects.  It is a great budget frie...

Card Share - Miss Anya Dressy "Just Because"

Hi Everyone, Back with another I Am Roses project!  I wanted to create a card for an awesome friend and decided to make a "Just Because" card.  I love the idea of suprising someone "just because".  I have been really liking The Greeting Farm Miss Anya sets of stamps, they are super easy to color and super cute. Here I wanted to mix a citrus color with a neutral (I'm just SO into color these days).  Also, wanted to bust out my new bottle of Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Stain in Dark Chocolate Truffle.  Love this color, it is very deep, rich and the perfect shade of luscious brown.  I used it to paint the petals of the I Am Roses Puffy Daisies.  Products featured in this vid: - Mixed Sizes: Orange and Tangerine http://www.iamroses.com/index.php?lay=show&ac=cat_show_pro_detail&cid=20912&pid=87432 - Puffy Daisies http://www.iamroses.com/index.php?lay=show&ac=cat_showcat&l=2&cid=22988 - 0.75 Inch Orange and Tan...

I Am Roses Project 4 - Cards Greeting Farm Princesses!

I love using I Am Roses to accent my cards, I made three Greeting Farm Princess Collection cards using some of my favorite I Am Roses flowers: 1.00 inch pink roses R6-1 0.50 inch white roses R8-15 0.75 inch white roses R3-15 0.75 inch pink roses R3-1 Small White flowers S10-15 I also challenged myself to practice my copic coloring on brown hair, the three copic markers I used to achieve the brown hair look on my cards were E74, E77, E79.  I'm finding out the best way to learn how to color is to practice and be patient, for me I've learned that you have to wait for your image to dry to see the final result. The stamps I used are from The Greeting Farm - these are super fun to color and practice hair with, also the dresses are super easy to paper peice and layer with. Princess Anya Princess Collection no. 02 Princess Collection no. 03 Here are some up close photos, I love the way these came out and the flowers are so easy to work with - a great final touch! ...

Color Inspiration: Iron Man

I am completely obsessed with Iron Man... I don't watch a lot of movies or TV (EXCEPT for Gray's Anatomy & Project Runway). One night hubby was was watching Iron Man...I watched and HELLO I'm hooked, totally hooked... I got this CUTE little action figure, the helmet flips up to reveal the face of Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.). Its...adorable.  I used the Gold/Red combo as color inspiration for this Greeting Farm stamp: Cheeky Rockabilly I didn't have the black hair copic markers when I first got this stamp, but now that I do, it was super fun to see what I could do with the hair - Black Hair is my fave hair color! Copic Markers: C9, C7, C5, C3 Thats all I got for now, hee hee, NOW back to watching Iron Man... later dudes! rina

Art Imitates Life?

In addition to talking (see Rina's Youtube Channel ): ...I do also LOVE to write...its time for the BLOG-iness to happen. HEE! LATEST OBSESSION : Copics and Greeting Farm Here's a little secret from a Copic Newbie...coloring black hair whether you use the cool (C9, C7, C5, C3)or warm (W9, W7, W5, W3) grays is FAR MUCH EASIER to do than any other colored hair..WHY? because those ARE the colors you use (well those are the ones I use) - with the other colored hair there are so many color combos. what to chose? what to chose?  Brown Hair is my nemesis...have not mastered it yet... Anyhoo, this image was slightly DRAMA, I'll list the colors that I used but DISCLAIMER, these aren't the colors that you necessarily should use, but more the colors I have in my stash, and most of the time I cover up boo-boos with other colors so there you go, here is the list of the "madness" Face - E50, E51 Eyelids, Shoes - E31, E34 Hair (Drama Part) - E31, E35, YR21, YR24, Y21 Pant...
